Cost of Freedom (Acts 1 -2 and Matthew 23)
Senior Pastor Dr. Craig Hines opens his sermon by addressing Jesus' promise of the Holy Spirit in Acts 1:5 and how that promise was fulfilled on Pentecost in Acts 2:1-4. Dr. Hines conveys how the Holy Spirit gives us comfort, boldness, and conviction to defend our faith. Finally, Dr. Hines moves his sermon to Matthew 23, where Jesus is presented as the model for standing for the sound doctrine of our faith, and He renders a seven-count indictment against the Scribes and Pharisees regarding their unrighteousness and the cost of that unrighteousness.
